"The Man in Panther-skin" and "Philaster" by Beaumont and Fletcher
Keywords:
The Man in Panther-skin, PhilasterAbstract
This paper is a direct continuation of my study appearing in "The Kartvelologist" No 14, in which an entirely new fact is brought to light in Rustaveli Studies, namely that "The Man in Panther-skin" first appeared in the European literary arena not early in the 19ht century in Russia, as was believed earlier, but in England in the early 17" century; furthermore, the MPS served as the hitherto unknown
subject source of A King and No King, a major play by Shakespeare's contemporaries Francis Beaumont and John Fletcher.
